The Analytics menu tab will take you to the page where you can review and create metrics and reports about the performance of the recommendation engine.

There are the functional groups below here:

  • Overview

  • Touchpoints

  • A/B test

  • Custom analytics

  • Datepicker
In the top right of the screen, you can set a time range you'd like to be displayed on the graphs by using a built-in calendar or filling in the values manually.

Widget Features

Widgets are the main organizing units at Analytics. These Widgets can be configured and can be added randomly.

  • Widgets autosave themselves.

  • You can choose how metrics should be broken down in time by choosing one of the options in the top left-side bar: Month, Week, Day, Hour.

  • By clicking the resize icon, select the optimal size for your Widget: choose from the 3 different sizing: small, normal, large.

Key Performance Indicators

Based on the hosted site business model, there can be a lot of different KPIs to measure the system performance, but here is a list about the most usual and useful examples.

The very generic ones:

  • CTR
  • Number of recommendations
  • Number of clicks

Some examples from an e-commerce context:

  • Number of transactions generated by the recommendations
  • Revenue generated by the recommendations
  • Reco Share
  • Buy counts
  • Buy values
  • Revenue generated by 1000 recommendations
  • Transactions generated by 1000 recommendations

Advanced Widget Features

By opening the Widgets Configuration Panel with the hamburger icon at the top left of the Widget, you will get access to the following features:

Active
You can activate or passivate the selected Widget, with a single click.

Custom Expression
There is a manual, and a predefined configuration option:

  • Turn on the custom expression to use a predefined setting, defined at the metric service layer of the system, called counters
  • Turn off the custom expression option to configure manually the aspects what you would like to represent in the Widget.

📘

Counters

The Counters are for storing measurements in the database. The Counter values are stored separately for each recommendation instances. There are default configured counters but we also can define custom ones.

The Counter's value can be reached with usages of Counter expressions and these expressions can be used in specific places.

Later we will see how these work in detail but now it's enough to see where we can find the currently available expressions:
from IntServlet open monitoring > current counters links where you can find the expression and the actual value for the Counters

With the manual setting, you will have the opportunity to choose from 3 different type of data-visualization method.
- Pie chart
- Graph
- Value

Stacked

  • Choose this option if you want your graphs visualized in a more pronounced way.

Delete Panel deleting the selected widget

Export CSV feature will export the current setting metrics in csv file format.
